Theresa Greenfield was born in 1963. She is challenging Senator Joni Ernst in the race for Iowa’s Senate seat.
Theresa Greenfield is a businesswoman and real estate executive. A graduate of Minnesota State University, she worked as an urban planner before taking leadership roles in real estate development companies. Greenfield headed Rottlund Homes’ Iowa Division in Des Moines.
Today, Greenfield is the president of Colby Interests, a family-owned commercial real estate company based in the Des Moines area. Greenfield was a 2018 Democratic candidate for Iowa’s 3rd congressional district, but she was disqualified from the election before the primary because her congressional campaign manager forged signatures without her knowledge.
The Democratic primary in Iowa took place on June 2, 2020. Greenfield won the primary with 47.7% of the vote.
