Bryant “Corky” Messner was born in 1957. He is challenging Senator Jeanne Shaheen in the race for New Hampshire’s Senate seat.
Messner is a trial lawyer and veteran. He graduated from West Point in 1979 and became an Army Ranger, serving in Germany during the Cold War. After military service, Messner attend law school at the University of Denver. Following graduation, he founded his own law firm.
Messner has served and assisted various non-profit organizations, including the Wentworth Watershed Association, Army West Point Athletic Association, The Rise School Denver, and the Messner Foundation. This is his first run for elected office.
The Republican primary in New Hampshire took place on September 8, 2020. Messner won the primary with 51% of the vote.
